A Bib Martingale essentially works like a running martingale, preventing the horse from lifting its head beyond the angle of control, but with the benefit of keeping the reins in place and preventing them from going over the horse's head as might happen in a fall.
The Zilco Bib Martingale is made from coated webbing and has a detachable bib.
